Description
Put past and present projects on the map
Carlson Compass is a web-based, map-driven project database. Find out instantly whether your firm has already worked next door, see the details of every job, and give anyone in your organization access from any computer.
- Eliminate duplicate work in the research phase by seeing all nearby jobs your firm has previously completed
- Easily view available data about each project such as date, manager, client, and a link to the project folder
- Easily view control points
- Jump into street view within Compass
- Web-based, so anyone in your organization can be granted permission to view, search, add, or update data from any computer
Key features
- Robust project repository: some customers manage more than 75,000 projects in Compass
- Custom fields and symbology: create your own searchable fields (such as project status) and choose icon colors and shapes for each
- Advanced search and dynamic map
- Admin user management: add or remove users and grant Admin, Editor or Viewer access
- Parcels+ GIS data: geometry and attribute data for parcels, FEMA flood zones, and county and town boundaries across the USA, viewable in Compass and downloadable as SHP files for use in Carlson Survey and GIS
- VikingTrak: equipment tracking and remote access for properly equipped Carlson Viking and VASCO GNSS units
VikingTrak equipment tracking
VikingTrak adds equipment tracking for SIM-enabled Carlson Viking GNSS receivers and VASCO GNSS base units to Carlson Compass:
- Real-time location of your Viking units: know where crews are working, and find a unit if it is ever lost or stolen
- Remote access to the unit’s WebUI to check satellite status, update firmware and perform other equipment management tasks without being physically connected to the device
To use VikingTrak, connected units must be powered on and have an active SIM installed.
