Description

SurveyGNSS post-processing software is a reliable and precise tool for all post-processing applications and is tightly integrated into the Carlson field and office workflow. In keeping with the Carlson hallmark of interoperability with the greatest amount of GNSS hardware, SurveyGNSS is designed to accept GNSS data from any receiver in RINEX format. Furthermore, it will also accept proprietary GNSS data in an increasing number of manufacturer formats including NovAtel, Hemisphere GNSS, Altus/Septentrio, and Javad. Additional manufacturer formats will be added in concert with manufacturer cooperation and customer demand.

Carlson SurveyGNSS is developed in partnership with WaSoft of Dresden, Germany, and its proven line of GNSS software technologies.

All Carlson Software purchases will be delivered by email with your new serial number and download instructions within two business days.

Features

Get the most out of your GNSS Data

For  surveyors and positioning professionals looking to achieve centimeter accuracy when working on the edge of their RTK infrastructure, perform sub-centimeter positioning, and/or provide the highest quality assurance to their customers, Carlson Software has developed the all new Carlson SurveyGNSS post-processing program.

Highlights in Carlson SurveyGNSS version 2.1.0:

  • SurveyGNSS now supports project templates. Users no longer have to select their coordinate system everytime SurveyGNSS is started, but can simply load a template file. The project template includes the coordinate system and any other SurveyGNSS project data.
  • SurveyGNSS now supports projection factors. This allows for ‘grid to ground’ computations. The GNSS-derived positions in SurveyGNSS are scaled to localized “ground” coordinates so that any inverse between them results in an approximate ‘Ground Distance’. These scaled distances can then be combined with Total Station observations.
  • SurveyGNSS now supports projection localization. A four parameter (scale, rotation, shift) 2D similarity transformation to projected coordinates can be defined using corresponding positions. This results in localized horizontal E,N coordinates.
  • SurveyGNSS now supports online geoid models. When online, users may select a geoid model directly from the geoids library published by Carlson. Geoid support has also been extended to the (textual) “.asc” format offered by the US National Geodetic Survey.
  • SurveyGNSS now supports antenna height input in Meters for projects with a coordinate system in Feet. This makes it easier to enter a typical 2 Meter antenna height while the rest of the data is in Feet.

Highlights in Carlson SurveyGNSS version 2.0.1:

  • SurveyGNSS now also works offline. Typical online functionality (downloading reference station data,
background map) will not be available. Vector processing is available, as well as GNSS Resection(s) and
    Virtual Reference Station(s).
  • Virtual Reference Station(s) now also work with static data and not just with Stop&Go data.
SurveyGNSS will calculate a virtual station close to the rover position, providing that proper CORS
reference data is available. This results in a shorter baseline and shorter baselines means shorter
    observation times.
  • The SurveyGNSS Network Adjustment now exports .GPS vector files for processing in Carlson SurvNet.
This makes it possible to combine SurveyGNSS vectors with Total Station and leveling data in a single
    least squares adjustment.

Highlights in Carlson SurveyGNSS version 1.0.4:

  • More receiver raw data formats are supported. The list of supported formats for import is now: RINEX, Carlson, Hemisphere, Javad, Leica, NVS, Novatel, Sokkia, Topcon, Trimble and ublox.
  • Command line RINEX utility: prospective users now have the ability to incorporate their own (proprietary) command line RINEX utilities directly into the product to support almost any GNSS manufacturer.
  • Improved Positions and Map symbolization: SurveyGNSS now includes improved graphics with redesigned solution symbols and stop&go trajectory views.
  • Seamless integration with SurvCE 4.0 RW5 files for raw data logging.
  • Support for the Carlson BRx5. Full support of the new Carlson BRx5 receiver including Glonass inter-channel biases for an even more accurate solution.
  • Support for underlying system configured proxies providing indirect public HTTP, FTP and ICMP communication protocols.
  • Improved GNSS L1-only processing performance.
  • New languages added: French, Hungarian, Spanish, Russian.

Standard Features:

  • Supports differential post-processing of RINEX GNSS observations in static, ‘stop and go’ and kinematic positioning modes
  • Accepts GNSS observations from any GNSS receiver in RINEX format
  • Accepts proprietary GNSS observations in the following formats:
      • Carlson .log and .rw5
      • NovAtel .log
      • Hemisphere GNSS .bin
      • Altus .sbf
      • Javad .bin
      • Additional proprietary manufacturer file formats will be added based on manufacturer cooperation and/or customer demand
  • Provides a straightforward, workflow-oriented user interface including an overview map and observation files, computed vectors, and positions presented in fully functional spreadsheet like grids
  • Incorporates a proven state of the science, highly autonomous baseline processor offering on the fly ambiguity resolution, automated cycle slip detection/removal, and more for baselines up to 200km (125mi)
  • Automated search and retrieval of reference geodetic control and GNSS observations from organizations such as the US National Geodetic Survey and Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) networks
  • Rigorous least squares adjustment of all computed vectors
  • Seamless integration with downstream applications from Carlson and other vendors

Ready for the Future

  • Support of Galileo, Bediou, and Juntencho signals as soon as these become commercially available
